Amsterdam DOMAINfest: The domain name Poker.de was sold last week at the DOMAINfest conference live auction in Amsterdam for a final price of 695,000 Euros which is nearly 1 Million US Dollars (around USD $939,980).

This deal will become the highest .de (German domain name extension) sale ever and will have a future impact to all .de domain prices.

The DOMAINfest conference is supporting the domain industry and their goal is "to inspire and support the industry, not only by providing valuable content tracks and informative conference sessions, but also by providing opportunities to network among the people who keep the domain industry moving."

NICIT, the former owner of Poker.de, bought the domain name just some weeks ago and partnered with DomainSponsor and DOMAINfest, where the record sale was made on May 17.
